Google Uses Rich Keywords to Promote Business Partners

Before I get into the details I will have to give credit where credit is due. I first found out about this reading John Andrews SEO Blog who pointed me to a blog by Google Engineer Matt Cutts . Matt Cutts vs John Andrews : Google Face Off

There are very few SEO blogs that I respect. Most people who start SEO blogs either have no idea what they are talking about. There are a few blogs that when they get big (ie SEOMoz) they start spitting out so much garbage that finding the gems turns into a full time job. There is one blog that I discovered where the posts might be less frequent, once a week, but area always thought provoking. I am referring to John Andrews SEO Blog .

He started a post about how Google’s practices might be killing off innovation. Guess who started commenting on his post? Non other than the infamous Matt Cutts Google Software Engineer. His blog like many others has been going south for some time now. He hasn’t written a piece of interesting SEO news in months, instead he attacks anyone who might speak badly of Google. Here is a picture of him if you happen to run into him (this is no joke):

Matt Cutts LOL Cat

Anyway Matt and John have been going at it in the comments section of the article, it makes for great entertainment and brings up some good points: Google and Innovation by John Andrews
