Here’s Something You Won’t Find on Google

First off, I just want to throw a shout out to CopyBlogger.com. He had a great guest post about not bloggin or writing while drunk. Even though I read these words of wisdom I am a couple of beers and a glass of wine deep while writing this. I am getting ready to go see Kooza (Cirque de Soleil) I am sure you understand. Anyway here is why Google and other search engines suck. They cannot index sites that are rich and interactive.

Google can’t understand Java and other rich internet applications. I believe that since so many companies rely on Google they opt out against using too much content that is in flash or something similar. So basically Google is a hindrance for the advancement of the internet, at least from a user standpoint. I have DSL and I want to enjoy rich websites that are engaging and innovative.

An example of this phenomenon is the interactive music video by Arcade Fire. This is one of the most creative things I have seen in some time. It is engaging and I ended up watching the video about 5 times and every time there was something new to uncover. Watch the video, click around the screen, and you will understand.

Too bad this will never come up in search engines since there is no text on this page. What a shame. So here is what I propose. Lets Google Bomb the crap out of this video. I suggest the keyword Click Around . If you do not know what a google bomb is, type in “miserable failure” into Google and you will find out. Another example is “click here” which takes you to Adobe.

So if your a blogger or someone who has a website create a hyper link to: http://www.beonlineb.com/click_around.html and use the anchor text “click around” if you liked the video and want to prove to Google that they suck.

Time to go smoke a little and go watch some crazy circus crap.
