Why Google Sucks
I have always been a user of the internet, and I remember when I first discovered Google. Of course, like most worthwhile things it was from word of mouth rather than a Search Result. Like most people I became a Google addict getting to a point where I would not even type in URL names into the browser, instead I would type in “hotmail.com”. My addiction continued until I was asked to write some articles on the emergence of Blogs working at Millward Brown. Before I knew it I was sucked into the world of search and internet.
I decided to pack up my car and move cross country to San Francisco. Currently I am an SEO (Search Engine Optimization) at an interactive agency in San Francisco. Being so close the action made me question a lot of beliefs about the status quo. Before long I discovered that Google was not the small company dedicated to helping your search experience, but instead an entity that is profit driven like any other corporation.
Google relies on its “god” like status and the trust people have in the results they produce. I am here to tell you that their results are far from perfect. Their search results are biased, corrupted by money exchange, full of spam and parked domains. This blog is dedicated to people who want to learn more about Google and why Google Search Sucks.
